International Conference in Roissy

First Part 

FEMO held a conference on June 12, 2015 in Paris, whose first part was devoted to the question of Iran’s nuclear programme. The speakers at this conference, moderated by Ambassador Lincoln Bloomfield Jr., former Assistant Secretary for Political-Military Affairs at the US Department of State, were: 

– Olli Heinonen, former Deputy Director General of the IAEA 

– Bruno Tertrais, senior research fellow at the Foundation for Strategic Research (FRS) 

– Alireza Jafarzadeh, deputy director of the NCRI’s representative office in Washington, author of “President Ahmadinejad and the Nuclear Crisis” 

– James Woolsey, former Director of the CIA 

– Linda Chavez, former White House Director of Public Liaison.

Second Part

The second part was devoted to the fight against Islamist extremism. The speakers, again moderated by Ambassador Lincoln Bloomfield Jr., former Assistant Secretary for Political-Military Affairs at the US Department of State, were: 

– Frédéric Encel, seminar director at the French Institute of Geopolitics 

– Howard Dean, former Chairman of the US Democratic Party 

– Struan Stevenson, former Chairman of the European Parliament delegation for relations with Iraq

– Yves Thréard, editorialist and columnist at Le Figaro 

– Ambassador Ken Blackwell, former US ambassador to the United Nations Human Rights Commission
