Under the theme “A Persian Perspective on the Middle East,” FEMO was the guest of the ESSEC Tuesday Circle on 23 September 2014, in the great amphitheatre of ESSEC (École Supérieure des Sciences Économiques et Commerciales) in Cergy.

The situation in the Middle East, the response to the rise of religious fundamentalism with ISIS in Iraq and Syria, and the current situation in Iran were among the topics addressed at this meeting, attended by François Colcombet, President of FEMO, and Nader Nouri, Secretary General of FEMO. Mehdi Abrichamtchi, chair of the Peace Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, brought the Iranian opposition’s perspective to the meeting.

Should the coalition against the Islamic State include Iran? Is Hassan Rouhani more moderate than Ahmadinejad?… These were among the questions addressed at this launch of the ESSEC Tuesday Circle’s 2014/2015 season.
